Does the plugin work with my theme?
Yes. The banner is added to your site independently of your theme, so it works with anything, including page builders like Elementor and Divi.
Will it slow my site down?
The banner is a single lightweight script loaded from Savira's servers. Blocking tracking scripts until consent usually makes pages load faster, not slower, because fewer third-party scripts run on first visit.
Does this make my business compliant with the Privacy Act?
It handles an important part of it. The plugin gives you a compliant cookie banner, blocks tracking until you have consent, and keeps a record of what people agreed to. Privacy compliance covers more than cookies, though - how you collect and store personal information, how you respond to access requests, and what's in your privacy policy all matter too. Savira helps with those as well, but no plugin on its own makes a business compliant. Anyone who tells you otherwise is selling something.
Does it capture consent from my contact forms?
Not yet. Right now the plugin handles cookie consent - the banner, script blocking, and preferences page. Form consent capture is something we're building. Tell us which form plugin you use and we'll take it into account.
Can I change the banner buttons?
You can change the wording. Keep the Reject non-essential option visible and as easy to use as Accept. If you remove it, the banner may no longer give you valid consent for tracking.
